The UNESCO Madanjeet
Singh South Asian Institute of Advanced Legal and Human Rights Studies
(UMSAILS) is pleased to invite applications for internship for undertaking
works related to assisting in day to day office management, organizing events, undertaking
research project, and web designing etc. The duration of internship will be two
to three months.
The Institute aims to promote
legal knowledge and respects for human rights throughout South Asia. It is now
organizing training and workshops on legal and human rights issues; and is preparing
to launch academic programme from 2013.
The Institute has been
established as a UNESCO-Madanjeet Singh Institution of Excellence with South
Asian Common Law and Human Rights at its centre.
It has launched a Human Rights
Law Clinic (HRLC) in July 2012 which is to provide a platform for training and
mentoring for Student-Volunteers (of Law, Human Rights and allied disciplines).
HRLC aims to develop and enhance participants’ analytical, research and writing
skills, promote pro bono human rights works and legal services, and
initiate legal and judicial activism.
The Institute is
hereby inviting applications from interested Students who are based in Dhaka
and available for voluntary works.

objective for the internship, and a Cover Letter addressed to the Director of
the Institute by 06 December 2012
